I wanted to develop some way to prop up a phone, the mass produced phone rests are made from horrid plastic and just aren't chic enough for me and I had the most gorgeous vintage fabric in mind.
I pride my self on knowing how to create with fabric quite well but it took a surprising amount of tweaking to get this just right!
Once I found the perfect solution to support the bottom of the phone, everything fell in to place!
I'm now a happy girl with a very 'comfy' phone!
And have now made a number of them to sell on the Darlington People's market on the 2nd September.
(iPad mark two is a work in progress!))

A very busy day
I have been doing a number of different things today.
My first task was to finish of a number of little pictures using black thread on linen. I'm really pleased with the results and will do more like this, they work because of their sketchy nature but also because I have kept them simple.
The second job if the day was finishing off a whole bunch of IPhone, IPad, Blackberry and Kindle cases. I wanted to use different fabrics in side and out.
I have used some lovely vintage buttons to hold them closed and some truly beautiful velvet ribbon on them.
I haven't decided what to do with them yet but I think putting them in Etsy is a good idea.
